Wednesday: God’s Good Intentions

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

God’s plans for us are always good. Even when life feels uncertain, we can trust that He is working for our welfare and future.

Many of us have experienced times when life’s path seemed unclear or painful. In these moments, Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God’s intentions for us are good. His plans are to bless us and give us a future filled with hope.

This promise doesn’t mean life will be free of hardship. Rather, it assures us that even in difficulty, God’s purposes are for our ultimate good. Romans 8:28 reinforces this truth, stating that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”

Consider how God’s good intentions can transform your outlook. When challenges arise, instead of asking, “Why is this happening?” ask, “How is God working for good in this?” Trusting in His goodness allows us to face life’s uncertainties with peace and assurance.
