Friday – Living with Eternity in Mind

In a Nutshell:

The thought of standing before the throne with unfulfilled assignments should motivate us to live lives of purpose and impact. We must not let fear, doubt, or worldly distractions blind us to the incredible possibilities God has for us.

Anchor Verse:

“So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” – Psalm 90:12 (ESV)

Unpacking the Word:

Imagine standing before God with unfinished tasks. That thought should inspire us to live lives of purpose and influence. We are reminded of the ten spies who saw giants instead of promises. Like them, we risk missing God’s best when we allow fear, doubt, or worldly distractions to cloud our vision of the incredible possibilities God has set before us.

This isn’t meant to scare us but to awaken us. Our time on earth is short, and eternity is long. Let’s live each day with the end in mind, making choices that will matter not just now but for eternity.

Today, let’s evaluate our lives in light of eternity. Are we living with a sense of urgency, making the most of every opportunity to serve God and love others?

Pause and Reflect:

  • Are you living your life with a sense of urgency, mindful of eternity?
  • What fears, doubts, or distractions are preventing you from fully embracing God’s calling?
  • What changes do you need to make to live a life of greater purpose and impact?

Faith in Action:

  • Spend time in prayer, asking God to give you a heart of wisdom and to help you number your days.
  • Identify one area where you need to step out in faith and take action.
  • Share your desire to live with eternity in mind with a trusted friend and ask them to pray for you.

A Moment With God:

Ask God to help you live each day with eternity in view, making choices that honor Him and have lasting impact.
