Monday – Called to Serve

In a Nutshell:

As followers of Christ, we are enlisted in His service with a divine purpose that makes the impossible, “Him-possible.” We are intentionally placed on this earth for a purpose greater than ourselves.

Anchor Verse:

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Unpacking the Word:

The moment we choose to follow Christ, we are not just making a personal decision; we are stepping into a divine commission. This calling is so powerful that it transforms the impossible into “Him-possible” through God’s strength. We are not here by chance; every believer has been intentionally placed in their unique sphere of influence for a purpose far greater than themselves.

Think of a time you felt God’s calling in your life. It might have been a gentle nudge or a clear direction, but it was a moment when you knew you were meant for something more. Embrace that feeling. God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called. Remember, it’s not about your capability but His.

This week, let’s shift our focus from our limitations to God’s unlimited power. Let us actively seek opportunities to live out our divine purpose, knowing that He is working through us to accomplish His will.

Pause and Reflect:

  • In what area of your life are you being called to step out in faith?
  • How can you better align your daily activities with your divine purpose?
  • What does it mean for you personally to be “enlisted in His Majesty’s Service?”

Faith in Action:

  • Identify one practical step you can take today to live out your divine calling in your workplace, home, or community.
  • Spend 15 minutes in prayer, asking God to reveal His specific purpose for your life and to give you the courage to pursue it.
  • Share with a friend or mentor about your desire to live out your divine calling and ask them to keep you accountable.

A Moment With God:

Ask God to reveal His specific purpose for your life and to grant you the courage and strength to pursue it wholeheartedly.
