June 14: Saturday: “Power Check ⚡🔌”

In a Nutshell

Your phone works great—until it needs charging. You can have the latest model with incredible capabilities, but without power, it’s just an expensive paperweight. Spiritually, many believers are trying to operate on yesterday’s charge instead of staying connected to today’s power source.

Anchor Verse (NIV)

“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” – Galatians 5:25

Unpacking the Word

Modern life demands constant connectivity. We panic when our devices hit low battery and search frantically for charging stations. Yet many Christians attempt to live spiritually on outdated power, wondering why they feel drained, ineffective, or distant from God.

The filling of the Holy Spirit isn’t a one-time event but an ongoing relationship requiring daily connection. Like a phone that needs regular charging, believers need regular filling. The disciples weren’t told to remember Pentecost but to continue being filled with the Spirit. Fresh anointing produces fresh effectiveness.

Faith in Action

  • How is my spiritual “battery life” right now—fully charged or running low?
  • What daily practices keep me connected to the Holy Spirit’s power?

Action Step:

Create a daily “charging” routine this week—specific times to connect with God for fresh filling and empowerment.

A Moment With God

“Holy Spirit, I don’t want to operate on yesterday’s power. Fill me fresh each day. Keep me connected to Your presence and charged with Your power for every assignment You give me. Amen.”
