June 15: Sunday: “Ready for Encounter? 🙌🔥”

In a Nutshell

As you prepare for corporate worship today, remember that church isn’t just about receiving blessing—it’s about receiving power for witness. Will you leave the same as you entered, or will you allow the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh for the week ahead? God has encounters waiting for hungry hearts.

Anchor Verse (NIV)

“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” – Acts 4:31

Unpacking the Word

Every time believers gathered in the early church, they expected to encounter God’s power. Church wasn’t entertainment or routine ritual—it was a divine appointment for fresh empowerment. They came hungry and left filled, ready to impact their world with supernatural authority.

Today’s gathering is another opportunity for Holy Spirit encounter. God wants to fill you not just for personal blessing but for public witness. The same Spirit who empowered the disciples on Pentecost is present and ready to anoint you for the ministry assignments waiting in your workplace, neighborhood, and relationships this week.

Faith in Action

  • Am I coming to church expecting encounter or just enduring obligation?
  • How will I position my heart today to receive fresh empowerment for witness?

Action Step:

During worship today, specifically ask the Holy Spirit to prepare you for divine appointments this week where you can be His witness.

A Moment With God

“Holy Spirit, I come hungry for fresh encounter today. Fill me with Your power and prepare me for every divine appointment You have planned this week. Let me leave changed and charged for effective witness. Amen.”
