June 22: Sunday: “Ready for Encounter? 🙌🔥”

In a Nutshell

Today you’ll gather with other sons and daughters in your Father’s house. This isn’t just church attendance—it’s family reunion. You’re not coming to perform or consume, but to encounter the goodness of a Father who delights in His children. Are you ready to let His love transform you into His likeness?

Anchor Verse (NIV)

“How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.” – Psalm 84:1-2

Unpacking the Word

The local church isn’t meant to be an organization but a family—the Father’s house on earth as it is in heaven. Every believer, regardless of their natural family background, can experience healthy spiritual family relationships here. Not perfect, but progressing toward the Father’s heart.

When we gather as sons and daughters rather than consumers or performers, something powerful happens. We create space for God’s presence to dwell among us through unity. The Father’s goodness flows through relationships where people are becoming like Jesus—serving as sons, leading as fathers, loving as family. This is where the broken find healing, the orphaned find belonging, and the lost discover their true identity.

Faith in Action

What am I expecting from today’s gathering—entertainment, obligation, or genuine encounter? How can I contribute to the family atmosphere rather than just consume from it? Action Step: Look for someone at church today who might need to experience the Father’s love through your kindness.

A Moment With God

“Father, prepare my heart for worship today. Help me bring a son’s/daughter’s heart to Your house. Use me to reflect Your goodness to others who need to see their Heavenly Father’s love. Amen.”
